The mission of the South Carolina Highway Patrol Employment & Promotions Unit is to effectively process and hire the most qualified applicants into law enforcement positions with the South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS). The Employment Unit’s goals are to ensure that each applicant’s qualifications and suitability for employment as a law enforcement officer are carefully examined and meet the high standards of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
