Funeral Arrangements for State Transport Police Officer Mark Reynolds
The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces the following funeral arrangements for South Carolina State Transport Police Officer Mark S. Reynolds, who died on September 4, 2024 following a medical emergency during training earlier in the day.
Visitation is closed to the media and public.
Funeral Services:
When: Sunday, September 8, at 3 p.m.
Where: The Florence Center, 3300 West Radio Drive, Florence, SC

Burial:
Burial will follow at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery, 1303 Olanta Highway, Effingham, SC 29541

Media Guidelines:
The Reynolds family has requested privacy at this time and will not be conducting media interviews. Please direct all media inquiries to the SCDPS Office of Public Affairs.
Funeral, Burial Services: Although the Reynolds family has given permission for media to cover the funeral and burial services, they ask that NO family members are photographed or filmed before, during, or after the services.
All media representatives wishing to cover the funeral services should meet with staff from the SCDPS Office of Public Affairs no later than 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024, to discuss set-up, guidelines, and media staging area.
