Community Relations, Recruiting and FOIA Unit
The SCHP Community Relations, Recruiting, and FOIA (CRRF) Unit oversees the following responsibilities:
COMMUNITY RELATIONS OFFICERS (CROs) – CROs handle public information and media requests, community events across the state and highway safety education efforts to reduce traffic deaths.

FOIA – All Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests received from the public and the media are received and processed through this office.
RECRUITING – This unit recruits top talent who are looking to enter or continue their law enforcement career with the SC Highway Patrol.

Regulatory Compliance Unit
The Regulatory Compliance Unit oversees the administrative and regulatory compliance matters for the Highway Patrol, specifically: Rotation wrecker regulation, records maintenance, CALEA standards, grants and assists with the daily operations of Patrol Headquarters.

Telecommunications Unit
Unit Commander
The SCHP Telecommunications Unit provides dispatch communication to troopers and other SCDPS law enforcement. Telecommunications Officers dispatch troopers to collision scenes and other calls for service and provide officers with accurate and timely information necessary for their safety and motorists’ safety.
