The SCHP Telecommunications Unit is looking for the most highly qualified candidates to join our team. Your rank and starting salary would be based on the total years of Public Safety or Law Enforcement dispatch experience and current certification status.

Telecommunications Operator I (TCO I)
- Initial Starting Salary – no Public Safety Dispatch Experience and not NCIC certified.
- Starting Salary: $35,092
Telecommunications Operator II (TCO II)
- Serves as a TCO I for 18 months. Successfully completes all certifications to include NCIC certification.
- Certified Public Safety Dispatcher with a minimum 18 months of experience and is NCIC certified.
- Salary: $37,810
Telecommunications Operator III (TCO III)
- Serves as a TCO II for 18 months. Successfully maintains all certifications to include NCIC certification
- Certified Public Safety Dispatcher with a minimum 3 years of experience and is NCIC certified.
- Salary: $40,531
Eligible for promotion to rank of Assistant Telecommunications Supervisor (ATCS) – Promotional Process
Telecommunications Operator IV (TCO IV)
- Serves as a TCO III for 2 years. Successfully maintains all certifications to include NCIC certification
- Certified Public Safety Dispatcher with a minimum 5 years of experience and is NCIC certified.
- Salary: $43,260
Eligible for promotion to rank of Assistant Telecommunications Supervisor (ATCS) – Promotional Process
