SCDPS Reports Seven Killed On South Carolina Roadways During Thanksgiving Holiday Period (November 23 – November 27)

COLUMBIA — The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of seven people killed on South Carolina roadways during the Thanksgiving holiday period beginning Wednesday, November 23, at 6:00 p.m. until Sunday, November 27, at 11:59 p.m. Three of those fatalities occurred over the weekend period of Friday through Sunday. In comparison, the South Carolina Department of Public Safety announced a preliminary number of 13 people killed on South Carolina roadways during the 2021 Thanksgiving Holiday period, which consisted of November 24, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. until Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 11:59 p.m.
