COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) announced the 2016 State Transport Police (STP) Officers of the Year during a ceremony held October 6, 2017. Seven officers were recognized for exemplary work during 2016: 

Motor Carrier Compliance:  Lance Corporal Thomas A. Sullivan of Bethune has served with the State Transport Police since 2000.
Region One:  Lance Corporal Chiman Chan of Lexington has served with the State Transport Police since 2007.
Region Two:  Officer Matthew R. Goff of Greenwood has served with the State Transport Police since 2013.
Region Three:   Lance Corporal Adrian D. Sane of Pelzer has served with the State Transport Police since 2008.
Region Four:  Lance Corporal Dennis E. McGirr of Clover has served with the State Transport Police since 2012.
Region Five:  Lance Corporal Charles T. Norton, Jr. of Darlington has served with the State Transport Police since 2010.
Region Six:  Lance Corporal Jody P. Neuroth (not pictured) of Walterboro has served with the State Transport Police since 2010.
Ms. Lisa Jackson was named the Civilian Public Servant of the Year.
