COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces the following funeral arrangements for South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Daniel Keith Rebman, Jr. who was killed in a line-of-duty collision on Tuesday, October 24.

Visitation:

When: 2 p.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, October 28

Where: Bob Jones University: War Memorial Chapel 1700 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC

** Media: The Rebman family would like for the visitation to be a private time to receive family and friends and has therefore requested that the media do not cover this event.

Funeral Services:

When: Funeral services begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 29

Where: Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium, Bob Jones University 1700 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville

Burial:

Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 | MAP.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Citizens Bank branches in South Carolina, North Carolina or Georgia. Please make checks payable to: LECSC – Trooper Keith Rebman Memorial Fund. .

Media Guidelines:

  • All requests for media interviews with the family should continue to be coordinated through the SCDPS Communications Office: Capt. Kelley Hughes or the Highway Patrol CROs: 803-896-8144.

  • Visitation: The family has requested that the visitation be a private time for the family and friends and that the media not be present at the visitation on Saturday.

  • Funeral, Burial Services:  The Rebman family has given permission for the funeral and burial ceremonies to be covered by the media. All media representatives wishing to cover these should meet with Community Relations Officers Cpl. Bill Rhyne and L/Cpl. Joe Hovis no later than 1 p.m., October 29, to discuss set-up and arrangements before entering the Amphitorium and to determine the staging area for the media at Woodlawn Cemetery. Media will not be allowed to enter the Amphitorium after 1:15 p.m.  For information regarding set up prior to Sunday, please contact Cpl. Rhyne, 803-728-0790.

  • Funeral Procession: will make a right turn out of Bob Jones University’s main entrance onto Wade Hampton Boulevard, also known as U.S. 29, for .4 of a mile and make a left turn into Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Directions to Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium at Bob Jones University:

From Columbia:

  1. Travel I-26 west to I-385 north; continue north on I-385 toward Greenville.  Take exit 40A onto SC-291 (Pleasantburg Dr.)
  2. Merge onto SC-291 and continue traveling north.  At the third stop light merge into the left hand turning lane.
  3. Make a left hand turn onto SC-291 (N. Pleasntburg Dr.), immediately merge into the left turn lane.
  4. At the stop light make a left hand turn onto US-29 (Wade Hampton Blvd.) and continue south.
  5. The entrance to Bob Jones University will be on the left at the first traffic light.

From Charlotte, NC:

  1. Travel I-85 south toward Spartanburg crossing over into South Carolina.  Continue traveling south on I-85 and take exit 51 onto I-385, then take exit 51C to merge onto I-385 north.
  2. Continue north on I-385 toward Greenville.  Take exit 40A onto SC-291 (Pleasantburg Dr.)
  3. Merge onto SC-291 and continue traveling north.  At the third stop light merge into the left hand turning lane.
  4. Make a left hand turn onto SC-291 (N. Pleasntburg Dr.), immediately merge into the left turn lane.
  5. At the stop light make a left hand turn onto US-29 (Wade Hampton Blvd.) and continue south.
  6. The entrance to Bob Jones University will be on the left at the first traffic light.

From Greenville Spartanburg International Airport:

  1. From the airport merge onto I-85 south, continue traveling south on I-85 and take exit 51 onto  I-385, then take exit 51C to merge onto I-385 north.
  2. Continue north on I-385 toward Greenville.  Take exit 40A onto SC-291 (Pleasantburg Dr.)
  3. Merge onto SC-291 and continue traveling north.  At the third stop light merge into the left hand turning lane.
  4. Make a left hand turn onto SC-291 (N. Pleasntburg Dr.), immediately merge into the left turn lane.
  5. At the stop light make a left hand turn onto US-29 (Wade Hampton Blvd.) and continue south.
  6. The entrance to Bob Jones University will be on the left at the first traffic light.

From Atlanta:

  1. Travel I-85 north toward Greenville crossing over into South Carolina.  Continue traveling north on I-85 and take exit 51 onto I-385, then take exit 51C to merge onto I-385 north.
  2. Continue north on I-385 toward Greenville.  Take exit 40A onto SC-291 (Pleasantburg Dr.)
  3. Merge onto SC-291 and continue traveling north.  At the third stop light merge into the left hand turning lane.
  4. Make a left hand turn onto SC-291 (N. Pleasntburg Dr.), immediately merge into the left turn lane.
  5. At the stop light make a left hand turn onto US-29 (Wade Hampton Blvd.) and continue south.
  6. The entrance to Bob Jones University will be on the left at the first traffic light.

From Asheville:

  1. Travel I-26 east toward Spartanburg crossing into South Carolina.  Continue traveling east and take exit 18A onto I-85 south toward Greenville.
  2. Continue traveling south on I-85 and take exit 51 onto I-385, then take exit 51C to merge onto   I-385 north.
  3. Continue north on I-385 toward Greenville.  Take exit 40A onto SC-291 (Pleasantburg Dr.)
  4. Merge onto SC-291 and continue traveling north.  At the third stop light merge into the left hand turning lane.
  5. Make a left hand turn onto SC-291 (N. Pleasntburg Dr.), immediately merge into the left turn lane.
  6. At the stop light make a left hand turn onto US-29 (Wade Hampton Blvd.) and continue south.
  7. The entrance to Bob Jones University will be on the left at the first traffic light.
