SCDPS Reports 10 Killed On South Carolina Roads February 2 – February 4, 2018

Columbia – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of 10 persons killed on South Carolina roadways from Friday, February 2, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, February 4, at midnight.

As of February 4, 69 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 97 highway deaths during the same time period in 2017.

Of the 56 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2018, 34 were not wearing seat belts. 

Through midnight February 4, seven pedestrians have died compared to 12 in 2017; two motorcyclists have died compared to six in 2017; and two bicyclists have died compared to three in 2017 on state roads and highways.
