SCDPS Reports Six Killed On South Carolina Roads April 13 – April 15, 2018

Columbia – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of six persons killed on South Carolina roadways from Friday, April 13, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, April 15, at 11:59 p.m.

As of April 15, 236 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 292 highway deaths during the same time period in 2017. 

Of the 177 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2018, 92 were not wearing seat belts.  

Through April 15, 34 pedestrians have died compared to 47 in 2017; 20 motorcyclists have died compared to 28 in 2017; and three bicyclists have died compared to six in 2017 on state roads and highways.
