SCDPS Reports Two Killed On South Carolina Roadways November 9 – November 11, 2018

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of two persons killed on South Carolina roadways from Friday, November 9, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, November 11, at 11:59 p.m.

As of November 12, 872 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 866 highway deaths during the same time period in 2017.

Of the 601 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2018, 314 were not wearing seat belts. 

Through November 12, 127 pedestrians have died compared to 137 in 2017; 92 motorcyclists have died compared to 107 in 2017; and 19 bicyclists have died compared to 17 in 2017 on state roads and highways.
