SCDPS Reports Two Killed On South Carolina Roadways October 25, 2019 To October 27, 2019

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of two persons killed on South Carolina roadways from Friday, October 25, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, October 27, at 11:59 p.m.

As of October 27, 798 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 873 highway deaths during the same time period in 2018.

Of the 798 people who have died in 2019, 503 had access to seatbelts, and 244 were not wearing seat belts. 

Through October 27, 126 pedestrians have died compared to 132 in 2018; 111 motorcyclists have died compared to 100 in 2018; and 23 bicyclists have died compared to 18 in 2018 on state roads and highways.
