South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) announces the following event: 

WHO:            SCDPS and state and local law enforcement partners from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia 

WHAT:          SCDPS and member agencies of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Network (SCLEN) will participate in multi-state Hands Across the Border enforcement activities and awareness efforts. Hands Across the Border wraps up the Sober or Slammer! campaign (August 17-September 5). Hands Across the Border brings together law enforcement in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia to conduct joint public safety checkpoints aimed at keeping drunk and drugged drivers off the roads and is part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.  

Hands Across the Border offers various news coverage and photo opportunities.
