Be safe. Be seen. Bicyclists, motorcyclists, moped operators, and pedestrians. We call them vulnerable roadway users because they are just that. They are smaller and may be more difficult to spot on the road. If you are a vulnerable roadway user, always be cautious and make sure you are seen. Wear retroreflective materials or light clothing. From 2013-2017, there were a total of 88 bicyclist fatalities, 169 moped fatalities, and 628 pedestrian fatalities in South Carolina, but our target is zero.
