At the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame, visitors can experience the history of South Carolina law enforcement up close and have the chance to see historic equipment, seized contraband, weapons, badges, uniforms, and even a restored 1955 Ford SC Highway Patrol car!
Police, Sheriff's Deputies, and various state law enforcement officers...these are the men and women who serve and protect our communities. Visit the SC Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame to learn more about what these heroes do to keep us safe.
The Museum... The "Story" of South Carolina Law Enforcement
Like any other museum, the Hall of Fame preserves for the future a collection of artifacts, documents, and images related to South Carolina law enforcement, as well as general research files and files for each Memorial Room Inductee. The present collection contains approximately 2000 artifacts and documents, in addition to over 7000 images. The Hall of Fame is always interested in receiving appropriate additions to the collection.
Any object, image, or file in the museum collection can be made available for research by students, genealogists, family members, or other interested parties. Please contact the Hall of Fame staff for additional information or to make prior arrangements.
You can learn more about the museum at the Hall of Fame Museum page.
The Memorial...We Must Never Forget
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame Memorial Room is dedicated to those men and women who have given their lives in service to the people of the state of South Carolina. There are more than 400 officers recognized since 1797 from all over the state and many different agencies, ranging up to the present time.
If you know of an officer who you believe would qualify for induction, please contact the Hall of Fame. It is our goal to honor EVERY South Carolina law enforcement officer who has made the supreme sacrifice for their fellow citizens.
For more information on how to nominate an officer to be recognized in the Hall of Fame Memorial room, visit the Hall of Fame Memorial Room page.
